DreamFlight Charities is excited to announce the return of the Run the Runway 5K – our signature community fun run that combines fitness, aviation, and purpose in one unforgettable morning at the Danville-Boyle County Airport (Stuart Powell Field)!
Race Details
- Date & Time: Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 8:00 AM EST
- Location: 420 Airport Road, Danville, KY
- Course: Participants are invited to run or walk a certified 5K course laid our directly on the airport’s runway, offering a rare chance to view the best of aviation in Kentucky with static aircraft displays.
- Race Options
- In-person 5K Run/Walk – open to runners and walkers of all levels
- Virtual 5K – for supporters who want to participate from anywhere
Additional Note: In an effort to resume operations as quickly as possible at the airport, there is no rolling start for this event.
