Taylor Co. AVCamp Experience
Taylor County Airport and DreamFlight Charities are bringing an aviation camp experience to Campbellsville, Kentucky!
Students aged 13-18 are invited to join us each evening during the week of April 28th to discover the exciting world of aviation as they hone their piloting skills through this unique and interactive learning experience! Participants will gather each night for ground school instruction, putting their newly attained knowledge to the test with DreamFlight’s mobile flight simulators. But it doesn’t end there! Students will gather once again on Saturday for a multi-legged discovery flight, providing them with actual time at the controls with a Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) and a chance to apply for one of DreamFlight’s Flight Training Scholarships!

Hourly Schedule
Monday | April 28th
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Day One: Control Surfaces & Basic Maneuvers
- Students will learn the physics behind flight in addition to aircraft control surfaces to help them maneuver in the skies.
Tuesday | April 29th
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Day Two: Takeoffs, Landings, and the Traffic Pattern
- Participants will further hone their skills in order to fly a complete traffic pattern within our mobile flight simulators.
Wednesday | April 30th
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Day Three: Airplane Systems & Communications
- We'll be covering the various engine and electrical components of an aircraft, as well as standard communications.
Thursday | May 1st
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Day Four: Emergency Procedures & Aeronautical Decision Making
- Students will learn how to mitigate risk and handle emergencies in flight.
Friday | May 2nd
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Day Five: Navigation
- From pilotage to the use of GPS, students will discover the many ways to navigate from Point A to B!
Saturday | May 3rd
- 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- DFC Discovery Flights
- Participants will take to the skies with their own time at the controls with one of our Certificated Flight Instructors (CFI).
